Jessica Miller and her kindergarten class at OHE accept the award from Cassie Turner, the Arkansas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Texarkana Chapter Regent. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Junior Membership Committee, with sponsorship from the organization’s local Texarkana Chapter, has awarded its 2025 Helen Pouch Memorial Fund (HPMF) Classroom Grant to Oscar Hamilton Elementary School and Jessica Miller, one of its kindergarten teachers. Miller applied for the grant to purchase an Education Software for Guiding Instruction (ESGI) program to help teachers track student progress, provide formative assessments, and personalize student instruction. “This program will give immediate insight into my students' progress and allow me to adjust instruction for each child’s learning journey. This grant will purchase the ESGI program for two Oscar Hamilton Elementary kindergarten classrooms. It will impact around 40 students. We are truly grateful to be able to receive the HPMF Classroom Grant,” said Miller.
