Students in Mrs. Boyd's science class were able to use a new virtual simulation program (GIZMOS) for a cool science lab today! Their objective was to plan an investigation to determine the relationship among the energy transferred, the type of matter, the mass, and the change in the kinetic energy of the particles as measured by the temperature of the sample. They each made their own hypothesis and were able to manipulate the temperature to observe when water would boil or freeze using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. After all of that fun, they moved on to graphing the information! Such a great lesson Mrs. Boyd!
