Homecoming events with times and marked parade route!

Ms. Millers class had Mrs. Katie Hooker from Weyerhaeuser come and talk about the forest! The students learned all about how a forest grows and the various products that come from trees (Goods from the Woods). The presentation was interactive and helped the children understand the importance of forests in our everyday lives.
Mrs. Katie, also read Weyerhaeuser's published book, My First Word Was Tree, which the students really enjoyed. At the end of the session, each student received a special Weyerhaeuser pencil to take home.
It was a wonderful experience that helped foster an appreciation for nature and sustainability!
