Act 1039 of 2017 Reporting by the School District (A.C.A. 6-41-606 (b))

Dyslexia Program:

During the 2018-2019 school year, Foreman School District used Barton Reading and Spelling and Phonics First which are both evidenced-based Dyslexia Intervention Programs. Programs were used in small group and individualized intervention to address the deficit areas of students identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.

Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention:

During the 2018-2019 school year 20 students attending Foreman School District received dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.

Total Number of Students Identified as Exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia:

During the 2018-2019 school year, 23 students attending Foreman School District were identified as exhibiting characteristics of dyslexia.
