Foreman Public Schools Pivoting to AMI Days

Press Release: 01/12/2022

Foreman Public School Pivoting to AMI Days

After carefully reviewing our recent COVID-19 isolation and quarantine data, as well as consultation with the Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Department of Health, Foreman Public Schools has made the decision to temporarily close our school district for on-site instruction.

Effective Thursday, January 13th, all campuses will close temporarily. This temporary closure will last through January 18th (students will return on Wednesday, January 19th). All students will use Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) days, which may include instructional paper packets or digital learning.

This pivot to AMI days is a result of critical staffing issues at multiple campuses in the district. Great care and research went into this decision and we regret the hardships this will cause for some of our families. However, we believe that this is the right step to take for the health and safety of our families, employees, and the community.
